Blue Lagoon Landing Pass: Free Booking or Stay Aboard?

Find out when you need Comino’s free Blue Lagoon landing pass, how to reserve it at blcomino.com and how to enjoy a swim from the boat without going ashore.

Before you go

The free landing pass is for visitors who want to disembark at the Blue Lagoon. Going ashore is optional on our tour: you can stay on the boat and swim from it during the swimming stop.

Planning a Blue Lagoon boat trip involves two separate choices: booking your place on the boat and deciding whether you want to step ashore. You can enjoy the lagoon from the water without turning your swimming stop into a visit on land.

What is the free Blue Lagoon landing pass?

The Blue Lagoon landing pass is a free reservation for timed access ashore. Reserve it through the official blcomino.com website. Although the reservation process may look like buying a ticket, the landing pass itself is free.

It is separate from your boat-tour booking. Your tour ticket reserves your place on the boat; the landing pass covers access onto the Blue Lagoon shore. Check the official FAQs for the current access rules and any exemptions before reserving.

Do I need a pass if I stay on the boat?

On our shared boat tours, disembarking at the Blue Lagoon is optional. You can stay aboard and swim from the boat during the swimming stop, without reserving a pass for a visit ashore. Follow the crew’s instructions for the swimming area and returning to the boat.

This can suit visitors whose priority is time in the water, a place to relax between swims and easy access to the boat’s facilities. There is an onboard toilet, and stand-up paddle boards, swim noodles and life jackets are free to use. Snorkelling masks are available to rent for €5.

How do I reserve a pass for going ashore?

  1. Choose your boat-tour date and departure first, so you know which trip you are taking.
  2. Open blcomino.com and follow the free landing-pass reservation process.
  3. Choose the date and access period that fit your planned time ashore. Ask the crew if you need help matching your reservation to the tour.
  4. Keep the QR-code confirmation available on your phone, alongside your boat booking confirmation.

Use the official system for current pass availability. Reserving access does not book your transport, and booking a boat tour does not reserve a landing pass. If you cannot find an appropriate access period, contact the team before making plans around a visit ashore.

What should I bring if I want to disembark?

Keep your landing confirmation handy and bring only what you need for your time ashore. A towel, sun protection, drinking water and footwear suitable for the shore are useful. Listen to the crew’s meeting and return instructions before leaving the boat.

If you prefer to stay aboard, you can still bring your usual swimming essentials. Cold water and other drinks are also available to buy on board. Our packing guide covers the basics.

Book the boat trip that fits your plans

Start with our Blue Lagoon visitor guide for an overview of the lagoon and the wider Comino coastline. Then compare our shared boat tours or check available departures.

Whether you want to swim from the boat or take a look ashore, let the crew know your plans. For help with the pass or meeting arrangements, email the team before your trip.
