Frequently asked questions

A little clarity before your trip.

Practical answers for your day around Comino and Gozo. If your question isn’t here, we’re happy to help.

Where do the tours depart from?

Morning, afternoon and sunset tours depart from Ċirkewwa, Malta. Follow the meeting instructions in your booking confirmation, and contact us if you need help finding the boat.

What is the difference between the three tours?

Morning and afternoon tours last 3–4 hours depending on the season, around Comino and selected parts of the Gozo coast. The sunset tour lasts 3 hours and runs May–October. November–April has morning and afternoon departures only. The times shown on the site follow today’s date in Malta. Choose your travel date in the booking calendar and use your confirmation for the final departure details.

Can I swim or snorkel?

There is time for swimming during the tour. The crew chooses suitable stops for the day. Stand-up paddle boards, swim noodles and life jackets are free to use. Snorkelling masks are available to rent for €5. Bring swimwear and a towel.

What should I bring?

Bring a towel, sunscreen, swimwear, a hat and drinking water. Keep valuables in a waterproof bag. You may bring your own food and drinks; ask us about any specific requirements before travelling.

Are tours suitable for children?

Contact us before booking with the ages of the children in your group. We can discuss boarding, life jackets and what to expect so you can choose a suitable tour.

What happens if the weather changes?

The captain checks conditions and may change the route or cancel a trip if it is unsafe. If your trip is affected, contact us about the available rescheduling or refund arrangements.

How do I see prices and availability?

Open the booking calendar to see the current products, dates, prices and payment arrangements. Check the departure and inclusions there before confirming. You can also call or email us for help choosing.

Can I change or cancel a booking?

Cancellations and rescheduling are free up to 24 hours before the tour starts. Contact us with your booking reference to cancel or request a new date. For requests within 24 hours of departure, check the terms in your booking confirmation or contact the crew.

Will we go ashore at the Blue Lagoon?

Going ashore is optional. You can stay on the boat and swim from it during the swimming stop. If you would like to disembark at the Blue Lagoon, reserve a separate free landing pass at www.blcomino.com. Check the official access FAQs for current rules and exemptions.

Is there a toilet on board?

Yes. An onboard toilet is available throughout your trip, along with shade and a swim ladder.

Can I buy drinks on board?

Yes. Cold soft drinks (Coke, Kinnie, Sprite and Fanta) are €2.50, cold water is €1.50, cold large beer is €3 and wine is €4.

Is there parking near the meeting point?

Free parking is available nearby. Visit the meeting-point page for our recommended parking location and allow time to park and reach the boat.

Can you arrange something for my group?

Tell us your preferred date, group size and what you have in mind. We can explain the available tours and discuss any requests before you book.

Why choose a small boat for Comino?

Our small-group tours go beyond a Blue Lagoon drop-off. A smaller boat can visit Crystal Lagoon for swimming and enter suitable sea caves that large ships cannot fit inside. Stops and cave entry depend on your departure, sea conditions and the captain’s decision.
